YOUR DATA AND CHOICES

Privacy and Cookies Policy

Clear information about what we collect, why we use it, who receives it and how you can control your information.

Last updated: 17 August 2026

This policy explains how Snuglo Ltd collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us or buy from us. Snuglo Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

1. Who we are

Snuglo Ltd
Company number: 09601266
317 Amersham Road, Hazlemere, Bucks, HP15 7PX, United Kingdom

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, please use our contact form and select the most relevant enquiry option.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact details, including your name, billing and delivery addresses, telephone number and email address.
  • Order and transaction details, including the products ordered, order value, delivery method, payment status, refunds and correspondence about an order. We do not store full card details.
  • Account details, if you choose to create an account, including your login details and order history.
  • Enquiry details submitted through our contact or wholesale forms.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device, referring page, pages viewed and cookie choices.
  • Marketing preferences, where you choose to receive marketing or interact with advertising.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through our forms unless we specifically ask for it.

3. How and why we use information

We process personal information only where we have a lawful basis. This includes:

  • Contract: to take payment, process and deliver orders, provide customer service, manage returns and maintain your account.
  • Legal obligation: to maintain tax and accounting records, prevent unlawful activity and respond to lawful requests.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the website, prevent fraud, improve our products and service, answer enquiries and manage our business, where those interests do not override your rights.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and direct marketing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Payments and checkout

Payments are processed by the payment provider selected at checkout, such as Stripe or PayPal. Payment providers receive the information needed to authorise and manage the transaction under their own privacy terms. Snuglo receives transaction references and payment status, but not your complete card number.

If address autocomplete is used, the address text entered may be processed by the mapping provider to return suggestions. You can enter your address manually where that option is available.

5. Who receives your information

We share information only where reasonably necessary with service providers that help us run the store, including website hosting and security providers, WooCommerce service providers, payment processors, delivery companies, email delivery providers, professional advisers and analytics or advertising providers where permitted by your cookie choice.

These organisations may act as our processors or as independent controllers. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or in connection with a business sale or reorganisation.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate safeguard recognised by UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses, unless another lawful exception applies.

7. How long we keep information

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected and to meet legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements. Order and financial records are normally retained for up to seven years. Routine enquiries are normally retained for up to two years, unless they relate to an order, complaint or legal issue. Account information is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Marketing records are kept until you unsubscribe or the information is no longer needed.

8. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies help the website remember your basket, keep checkout secure, retain preferences and understand how the website is used.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for functions such as the shopping basket, checkout, account login, security and saving your cookie choice. They cannot normally be switched off through the website.

Analytics and performance cookies

Where enabled, these help us understand visits and improve performance. They are used only in accordance with the consent choices presented to you.

Advertising and social media cookies

Where enabled, these may measure campaigns, limit repeated adverts or help show relevant advertising. Providers may combine activity with information held under their own privacy policies.

Managing cookies

Use the cookie banner or cookie settings link on the website to accept, reject or change non-essential cookie choices. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent the basket, checkout or account from working correctly.

9. Marketing

We send marketing only where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing message or by contacting us. Service messages about an order are not marketing and may still be sent when needed to fulfil the order.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service is completely risk-free, so please use a unique password and keep account details secure.

11. Your UK data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive portable information and withdraw consent. You may also object to direct marketing at any time.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some rights are subject to legal exemptions, including where information must be retained for tax, fraud-prevention or legal-claims purposes.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.

12. Children

Our products are intended for children, but this website and its purchasing services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or submit personal information.

13. Third-party links

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are controlled by those organisations, so please read their policies before providing information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version and its update date will remain on this page.
